About the Project

The city we live in are full of sensations. Some places are like magnets, pulling us in with their breezes, music and other features, while other places push us away with their heat, noise and nuisances.

Check out our interactive map to find out what people feel about the different places around Singapore, in terms of outdoor temperature, sounds, and neighborhood change. You can also pin your own perceptions via a short anonymous survey!

This website is as part of a research project 'Crowdsourcing Perceptions of Urban Environments' by a team of National University of Singapore (NUS) researchers (see below).

In this project, we explore ways to gather data on spaces and urban characteristics that act as environmental stressors, or that provide positive benefits to one's overall health and wellbeing.

Collected responses will be used for mapping purposes, as well as for further research.
